Ex-APGA Presidential Candidate Kicks Against Vote Buying

The former Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2019 Presidential Election, Major General John Gbor has expressed concern over cases of vote buying during elections in Nigeria.
Major General Gbor stated this in Abuja while speaking with newsmen on 21 years of interrupted Democracy in Nigeria.
The former APGA Presidential Candidate who described the issue of vote buying as undemocratic said when not checked could undermine the nation’s democratic system.
While describing democracy as the best form of government, Major General Gbor said all hands must be on deck to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
He stressed the need to take up challenges of governance as the country belongs to them.
The Major General also advised the youths against been used by selfish politicians during elections.
He identified corruption as one of the factors hindering the development of the country’s democracy since the military handed over to politicians 21 years ago.
The former APGA Presidential Candidate therefore advised all Nigerians to always hold their leaders accountable to ensure rapid development of the country.
He however, emphasized the need for politicians to be committed to the dreams of the nation’s founding fathers to enable Nigeria take her rightful place among comity of nations.
