The Federal Road Safety Commission FRSC has cautioned owners and drivers of articulated vehicles against non adherence to Minimum Safety Standard  and indiscriminate parking along the roads.

The FCT Sector Commander of FRSC Mr Gora Wobin gave the advice at a forum in Abuja.

While acknowledging the role of articulated vehicles in the transportation of goods and services in the country , the FRSC sector commander maintained that any unlatched vehicles with containers would be impounded and driver would also be prosecuted.

Mr Gora who also described indiscriminate parking of trailers and lorries alongside Zuba – Gwagwalada- Yangoji – Abaji express way as worrisome said the government was making frantic efforts at providing a place for articulated vehicles’ drivers to park and take some rest while on journey.

According to him, the measure is towards ensuring free flow of traffic at that corridor.

Mr Gora assured road users that FRSC would continue to meet with all stakeholders in the transport sector for effective traffic control in the Federal Capital Territory.
