Governor Makinde inaugurates new security apparatus for safer Oyo state

Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde has inaugurated a newly refurbished and expanded state security control and command centre, a crime alert system application as well as an upgraded close circuit television unit for emergency rescue mission in the state. The Governor inaugurated the project at the headquarters of the state security trust fund, Onireke Ibadan.
Governor Makinde shortly after the inauguration explained that he had wanted to scrap the project due to its inadequacies but with the restructuring the facilities would usher in a safer Oyo state. While expressing hope that the surveillance project would cover all part of the state as well as border areas soonest, the Governor also promised to make the welfare of security officers and men a priority in the state.
Earlier in his address the special adviser to Governor on security retired Compol Fatai Owoseni said the upgraded CCTV gadgets at the center will cover most strategic areas in Ibadan metropolis and noted that the Oyo state crime Alert App would be free to enhance prompt response of security operatives for emergency rescue Mission. The Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyanu, Secretary to the state government, Mrs Olubanwo Adeosun and other top government officials were at the event
