New Digital Security Centre Will Enhance Cyber Security Intelligence – Dr. Pantami

As part of Government efforts to protect the cyberspace and boost the nation’s economy, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has commissioned a digital cyber security centre in the country.
Minister of communications and digital economy Dr Isa Ali Pantami while commissioning the building at the National Information and Technology Development Agency NITDA, in Abuja said the digital national cyber security centre would enhance National cyber security intelligence.
He explained that this would help the federal government in fighting insecurity.
The NITDA building complex also houses a studio for virtual learning , computer emergency response readiness team and the agency new logo vision and mission.
The Minister noted that the initiative was borne out of the need to address the security challenges in the country.
Earlier in his address, the Director General Of NITDA Mr kachifu Abdullahi explained that the centre would equip Nigerians with adequate digital literacy skills to bridge the digital gap.
