Women Affairs Minister Mourns NAF’s First Female Pilot


The Minister for women Affairs Dame Pauline Tallen has condoled with the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Abubakar Sadiq, Air men and Women over the death of the first female helicopter Pilot, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who died in an accident in Kaduna.

In a statement signed by the Minister, Dame Tallen recalled that in October 2019, she participated in the winging and decoration of flying officer Arotile whom she referred to as a rare gem and an epitome of female courage. 

The Minister also expressed her condolences to the deceased family, friends, professional colleagues and the Nigerian woman over the lost.

She said the Country was consoled that the deceased is a curtain raiser in the flying sector of the Nigerian Air force and called on other females to emulate her.
